Registered Neutrals

There is no “certification” for mediators. Mediators who want to be on a registry of those eligible to mediate court-connected cases may apply to be a “registered neutral” with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution (GODR). The rest of the process can be found here: Source

Erin’s training exceeds almost all the 28 hour training requirements for General Civil Mediation outlined in GODR’s Training Program Guidelines. I cannot provide a designated support person to handle technical and logistical matters during the training, which is required for approval. There is a process to apply for a waiver of GODR training requirements for non-approved trainings: Source Supreme Court Rules, Appendix B, Section II (J). I have reached out to the GODR and asked if my training would likely be accepted through the waiver process. I will update this page when I get a reply.
